We embrace each child’s unique learning style in an inclusive environment, where small group investigations and explorations inspire curiosity, creativity, and connection with the world. Our school readiness program is supported by our qualified Early Childhood Teacher, Educational Leader and Art Therapist. It allows children to develop language, social skills, and emotional regulation through music, movement, math, visuals, and nature. Play and provocations nurture imagination, confidence, and social-emotional wellbeing. Additionally, we provide educational incursions and excursions that align with children's interests, enriching their learning, fostering community connections, and promoting independence.
At Simba Education, we believe in creating a rich and immersive learning experience tailored to each child’s needs. Our program ensures children aged 4-5 years develop essential skills, confidence, and independence, preparing them for a successful transition to primary school.

At Simba Education, we believe that flexibility is key to fostering an environment where children thrive. A flexible routine is central to our approach as flexibility allows us to adapt our daily schedule based on the interests, needs, and rhythms of the children. Each group of children is unique so a flexible routine allows us to respond to the dynamics of the group, whether that means extending a popular activity, adjusting to varying energy levels, or incorporating teachable moments as they arise. For an example of our daily Preschool routine, see above.
Do you offer a school readiness program?
Yes, at Simba Education, we offer a comprehensive school readiness program that aligns with our Reggio Emilia-inspired philosophy. Our program is thoughtfully designed to prepare children for a smooth and confident transition to school while nurturing their curiosity, independence, and love for learning.
What makes our school readiness program unique?
Child-Centered Approach: True to the Reggio Emilia philosophy, our program values each child’s interests, strengths, and pace of development. Learning is guided by their natural curiosity and creativity. Focus on Key Skills: We emphasise foundational skills such as early literacy and numeracy, emotional resilience, problem-solving, and collaboration. These skills are developed through meaningful, play-based and project-driven experiences. Inquiry-Based Learning: Children engage in hands-on projects and investigations that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and a sense of wonder. Social and Emotional Growth: Preparing for school isn’t just academic—it’s also about building confidence, communication skills, and the ability to navigate social situations.
